Privacy Policy

This is the personal portfolio website of Senanur Cetin, an individual based in Istanbul, Turkey. I am the data controller for the little personal data this site handles. This site is not operated by a company. You can reach me at senanur.cetin.work@gmail.com.

Contact form. If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you type are sent to my inbox through the FormSubmit service (formsubmit.co), which relays the form as an email. I use this information only to reply to you. I keep the email for as long as the conversation or a possible follow-up needs it, and I delete it on request.

Email. If you write to me directly, your message is handled by your email provider and mine (Gmail) under their own policies.

Server logs. The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical request data such as IP address, requested URL, browser type and time in order to serve pages and protect the service. I do not use that data to identify you.

Cookies and tracking. The site's own code does not set cookies and does not include advertising trackers.

Analytics. To see which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first service that, according to Cloudflare, does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors. Your browser loads a small script from Cloudflare (static.cloudflareinsights.com) and sends page-level data to Cloudflare: the page path, the referring site, browser and device type, country, and page-load performance. The reports I see are aggregate and do not include query strings. I use the aggregate numbers to improve the site and to learn which posts and projects are of interest. Cloudflare acts as my processor; see its privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. If you do not want to be counted, a content blocker or your browser's tracking protection will stop the script and the site works the same.

Fonts. Page text is styled with fonts loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google's servers, and Google sees your IP address as part of that request.

With your explicit opt-in only, this site sends limited interaction events (CV link, case-study navigation, demo link, contact intent and a form accepted by the FormSubmit provider) to PostHog EU at eu.i.posthog.com. Event properties contain only EN/TR, a predefined location on the page, a published project slug or a predefined inquiry topic. Names, email addresses and message bodies are not sent. An in-memory random identifier links events during this opt-in visit; it is pseudonymous, not anonymous. Network requests may expose your IP address to PostHog as a service provider. No PostHog cookies, local storage, automatic clicks, pageviews, session recordings, advertising profiles or feature flags are enabled. You may refuse without losing site functionality and withdraw at any time through the Analytics preferences control in the footer. Withdrawal prevents subsequent collection but does not undo events already delivered. Events are handled in the EU region according to the PostHog service and project retention settings. The legal basis for this optional processing is your consent.

To answer messages you choose to send me (legitimate interest and your request), and to keep the website available and secure (legitimate interest). I do not sell personal data and I do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

The site links to GitHub, Kaggle, Hugging Face, LinkedIn, YouTube and to demos hosted on other services. Those services have their own privacy policies and I do not control them. This policy covers this website only; other projects I build are separate and will carry their own notices if they collect data.

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) and, where it applies to you, the GDPR, you can ask me whether I hold data about you, ask for a copy, ask for correction or deletion, and object to processing. Email me at the address above and I will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or your local data-protection authority.

This site is aimed at professional visitors and is not directed at children.
